Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford is releasing the name of the 3-year-old whose body was found inside a hot car in Richland County, on Friday, May 3, 2024.
According to Coroner Rutherford, the victim is identified as Armani Shoemaker, 3, of Columbia, SC.
Statement from Coroner Rutherford “Our hearts are broken by the life of Armani being cut short by this unexpected tragedy. Losing a child is one of the most unimaginable situations that can happen and our thoughts and prayers go out to this family. We will continue working with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to fully investigate this incident.”
