RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the individual whose body was discovered on the banks of the Congaree River on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
The body was discovered in the 400 block of Wheat Street in Columbia, SC. The victim has been identified as Addison L. Brown, 38, of Aiken, South Carolina.
“We will continue working with the Columbia Police Department to fully investigate this incident,” Coroner Rutherford states.
The case remains under active investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
