RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the individual who died as a result of a fatal crash that occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
The collision took place near the intersection of Decker Boulevard and Joye Circle. The victim has been identified as Ivan Pearson, 70, of Columbia, South Carolina.
“We will continue working with the South Carolina Highway Patrol to fully investigate this collision,” Coroner Rutherford states.
The case remains under active investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
