Coroner Identifies Victim in Fatal DUI Crash
RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the individual who died as a result of a fatal DUI crash that occurred on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The incident took place on Gervais Street and Park Street. The victim has been identified as Malcolm D. Johnson, 29, of Columbia, South Carolina.
“The loss of Mr. Malcolm Johnson is a heartbreaking tragedy that has deeply impacted his family, loved ones, and our entire community. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted.” Coroner Rutherford states.
