Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford is releasing the name of the victim of a fatal shooting at the Harbison Garden Apartments on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
According to Coroner Rutherford, the victim is identified as Nigel McFarland, 24, of Columbia, SC.
“We will continue working with the Columbia Police Department to fully investigate this shooting,” Coroner Rutherford states.
