RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identities of the individuals whose bodies were discovered after a head on collision Sunday, April 19, 2026.
The crash took place on I-26 near mile marker 107.5 in Richland County. The first victim and driver of the 2023 Hyundai has been identified as Josiah J. Evan, 24, of Columbia, SC. The second victim and driver of the 2018 Nissan SUV has been identified as Dyquan Hykeem-Jamaal Adams, 31, of Lexington, SC.
“We will continue working with the South Carolina Highway Patrol to fully investigate this crash.” Coroner Rutherford states.
The case remains under active investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
