Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford is releasing the name of the victim of death that occurred while in police custody with the Irmo Police Department.
According to Coroner Rutherford, the victim is identified as Byron Jackson, 45, of North Augusta, SC.
“We will continue working with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to fully investigate this incident.” Coroner Rutherford states.
