RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the infant who was transported to an area hospital on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
The infant was transported from the Days Inn Hotel at 1144 Bush River Road. The infant has been identified as Jarod Norris, 7 months, of Columbia, South Carolina.
“Every life is sacred, and the passing of a child shakes us all. We extend our deepest sympathy and prayers to the family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss”, Coroner Rutherford states.
