RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the individual who died as a result of a fatal altercation that occurred on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
The incident took place in the 500 block of Kimpton Drive. The victim has been identified as Emmanuel Meminger, 38, of Columbia, South Carolina.
“We will continue working with the Columbia Police Department to fully investigate this altercation,” Coroner Rutherford states.
The case remains under active investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
