RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the individual who died as a result of a fatal crash that occurred on Friday, July 10, 2026.
The fatal crash took place on McCord’s Ferry Road near the intersection with Lake Dogwood Circle. The victim has been identified as Austin D. Lesane, 44, of Blythewood, South Carolina.
“We will continue working with the South Carolina Highway Patrol to fully investigate this crash,” Coroner Rutherford states.
The case remains under active investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
