RICHLAND COUNTY, SC — Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the individual who died as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
The collision between a truck and a motorcycle took place on I-20 behind mile marker 71. The victim has been identified as Aleena Upchurch, 19, of Chapin, South Carolina.
“We will continue working with the South Carolina Highway Patrol to fully investigate this collision,” Coroner Rutherford states.
The case remains under active investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
