Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford is releasing the name of the victim of a vehicle vs. train collision that occurred at the intersection of Sunset Drive and Phillips Street on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
According to Coroner Rutherford, the victim is identified as Otto Asmond Jr., 57, of West Columbia, SC.
“We will continue working with the Columbia Police Department to fully investigate this collision.” Coroner Rutherford states.
